Dr. Luis Fondebrider
Dr. Luis Fondebrider is a forensic anthropologist and independent consultant with almost 40 years of experience in human rights investigations and forensic science. He previously served as Director of the Forensic Unit of the International Committee of the Red Cross and was a former member of the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF).
He has worked extensively on the identification of victims of human rights violations, including collaborations with international tribunals, the United Nations, and human rights organisations. His work has contributed to advancing forensic practice and strengthening capacity in complex investigative contexts worldwide.
As a member of the EquiForensics Advisory Board, he brings international expertise in forensic anthropology and justice-focused forensic practice.
Dr. Nina Kaiser
Dr. Nina Kaiser is Head of the Hans Gross Center for Interdisciplinary Criminal Sciences at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law at the University of Graz. The center promotes the interdisciplinary collaboration between law, criminology, criminalistics, and forensic science.
As legal scholar and criminologist she focuses on criminal law, criminal procedure, expert evidence, and interdisciplinary criminal sciences. Through her work, she contributes to strengthening the relationship between scientific expertise and legal decision-making within the justice system.
As a member of the EquiForensics Advisory Board, she brings extensive expertise in criminal law, criminology, and the integration of scientific expertise within legal proceedings.
Dr. Aline Girod Frais
Dr. Aline Girod Frais is a forensic scientist and educator with extensive experience in forensic science, research, and criminal investigations. She serves in a leadership role within the Criminal Intelligence Service Austria (Bundeskriminalamt Wien) and contributes to the advancement of forensic methodologies and investigative practice.
A graduate of the University of Lausanne, where she earned her doctorate in forensic science, Dr. Girod Frais has combined scientific research with operational forensic practice throughout her career. Her work has included research in fingerprint examination and forensic trace evidence, and she lectures at the Universities of Vienna and Graz. She has also served as a specialist consultant to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
As a member of the EquiForensics Advisory Board, she brings extensive expertise in forensic science, forensic education, and the application of scientific evidence within criminal investigations.
Violaine de Villemereuil
Violaine de Villemereuil graduated from CPE Lyon and later earned a University Diploma in Forensic Science from the University of Paris Descartes. Following early roles in scientific research and physico-chemical analysis, she became a Technical and Scientific Police Engineer, where she held senior positions in Counterfeit Documents, fingerprints traces, and Chemical Risks Intervention for Unknown Products.
Since 2015, she has served as a Judiciary Expert in Paris, specialising in Forensic Sciences, particularly "Fake and Forgery" and "Physico-Chemical Analysis." She currently leads the Judiciary Experts Team at OSE Services, where she continues to contribute her expertise in forensic science and judicial expertise.
As a member of the EquiForensics Advisory Board, she brings extensive expertise in forensic science, judicial expertise, and the application of scientific evidence within criminal investigations and legal proceedings.

Their career has included forensic capacity-building work across multiple countries, continents, and legal jurisdictions, giving them a broad comparative perspective on forensic systems and practice.
